attractive and spacious en-suite guest bedrooms Family run Real AlesWithin the Forest of Bowland
Welcome

There are plenty of establishments that bestow upon themselves the title “country pub” but here at The Kenlis Arms at Garstang in the idyllic Forest of Bowland, the description fits the bill perfectly.  Open every day, serving real ales from a well stocked bar and an impressive menu of home prepared food, visiting tourists are able to mix with locals in enjoying  good food and drink in this beautiful countryside setting. All this plus the attraction of maybe staying for that long promised break in one of The Kenlis Arms’ attractive and spacious en-suite guest bedrooms. Perfect!

With three real ales available at any time, The Kenlis Arms has easy parking for the visitor and the fact that it boasts enthusiastic ladies’ and gentlemen’s’ darts teams is an indication of its popularity locally.  Pool is also a feature here and for the less energetic, the Sky Sports TV is the answer. There is an attractive Function Room, popular for celebrations and occasions including wedding receptions and in this lovely countryside setting the Function Room will break neither the bride’s heart nor her parents’ budget!

At The Kenlis Arms though they maximise on their superb location to the full so in fine weather the visitor can enjoy their drink in the impressive garden where there is also a play area for children. In addition the raised patio section is perfect for around 30 to 40 people to enjoy a Kenlis Arms barbecue, pre-booked of course. Back inside perhaps to enjoy a meal.  Served between 12.30pm and 8.00pm, Thursday to Sunday inclusive (plus bank holidays), there is something from this menu to suit everyone including vegetarians.  With The Kenlis Arms Sunday lunch becoming increasingly popular, if you are able to book in advance this is advisable.

All in all there is something for everyone at The Kenlis Arms and the visitor drawn to this Forest of Bowland location will soon appreciate the warmth of some genuine Lancashire hospitality in the most perfect of locations.
